Will a Guardian automatic natural gas powered generator increase the value of my home?
at
I’m thinking about having a Guardian automatic natural gas powered generator installed at my home to protect against power outages and I want to know if it will make my home more attractive to potential buyers. I have a basement with a sump pump so I am, naturally, concerned about power outages.

Yes, undoubtedly. After last yrs wind storms in Pacific North West… peace of mind during a storm seems to top potential buyers minds. You will gain every cent and more if you install Guardian system.
I agree with the other answers here but keep in mind that you’ll likely NOT get full return on your investment. If I had to guess, you’d get back no more than 75%.
Good Luck
Yes.
Especially if you have a basement sump pump and there is water in it all the time. The generators they are making now are awesome machines and provide piece of mind for a lot of different reasons. Just be prepared for your gas bill when you have an extended power outage!
Make sure the generator is installed correctly and meets all codes… use a contractor who has done several. Talk with them to find out what maintenance is required / tests that need to be done periodically. Don’t just ignore the thing or it will not work when you need it… now what good would that do.
