The ratio of gasoline and lpg prices is 2:1
I’m thinking of converting my 95′ corolla to LPG.
There may be a great difference on price per liter but am i getting the same millage per liter?

With the recent push to convert buses and trucks to natural gas I wanted to know what the major differences were between nat gas and gasoline powered engines. Is it a matter of horsepower or more of a safety issue?

I am split. On one hand Propane comes from oil refining- a non-renewalable energy source, Charcoal comes from trees-Renewable, so it would seem easy.
But… Propane is a by product of oil refining so as long as we make gasoline we will have propane, so why not use it. But to make Charcoal we have to cut down trees, which seems very wasteful, plus trees are very important to keep the air clean.
It would seem to me that Propane would be the "greener" energy source. What do you think?

Is it natural to have less power on LPG than gasoline. I cannot feel the power after the conversion.

On a mass (per-pound or kilogram) basis, how much energy do each of these fuels have?
Diesel
Gasoline
Propane
Wood (ok, this one’s variable, but a rough estimate?)
I can convert whatever units you find data in – SI or Imperial or whatever. BTUs per pound is great, Joules or KCals per kilogram is great, I just need some numbers to work with.
Thanks in advance.
