Hi Is it true that I cannot keep my LPG Butane bottle that I run my cooker from in the house any more?
at
I have an LPG cooker for the last 20 years. I want to install a new one and have been told that I can no longer keep the bottle in the house it must be installed outside and piped in. Is this true? I just had a pipe from the cooker to the regulator attached to the bottle?

When we moved into this house18 years ago the butane bottle was outside and piped in through the wall. We no longer have the gas cooker, although my neighbour has this system. Their bottle is outside. I would never have thought anyone would keep such a dangerous piece of kit indoors. I’m glad you’ve never had any accidents
Here in the States we always had the propane tank outsides of the house.
I once witnessed a propane stove explode as a result of a leaky line. Believe me when i say that this stuff can ruin your day.
the most important thing. Whether in or out,is that there be no leaks. I used on inside . It was a small 5 gal. tank. for safety,I Always turned the tank off with the valve on the tank which is highly reliable. I did not depending on the stove valve as it could leak. If it were outside and turned on continuously chances of a leak are greater. If you do not turn the tank off. propane being heavier than air, If it leaks It can flow to the lowest point in the house, like if you had a basement, and accumulate there. If you put It outside you can put a electric operated switch on the tank. This allowas you turn off the tank from inside your house.
hello! i’m vietnamese! nice to see you!
Most states require not only that the bottle be outside, but also that it can’t be within 5 feet of a door or window.
