I am comparing the costs of generating electricity from crude oil and natural gas.

I would like to know:

1. How much natural gas is required to generate 1 KW of electricity?

2. How much crude oil is required to generate 1 KW of electricity?

My government just increased the electricity bills by 21% citing increasing oil futures prices as the justification to do that. However, Singapore generated about 80% of its electricity from natural gas and not crude oil! I think this is a rip off.

I installed a tank less LPG (Propane) water heater and am having issue with it. While taking a shower after the water is adjusted to the level I want it, while taking a shower the temp level will change to completely cold water!! Without me even adjusting the hot water handle to regulate it myself..why is that problem occuring? Is there an easy fix for it?

Can another company fill my propane tank?

My propane tank is owned by Downeast energy, however due to some recent issues I have had with them (unauthorized service which I reported to the Better Business Bureau and they failed to respond to) I would like to have another company fill the tank. Is this allowed since it belongs to Downeast or do I have to have Downeast take the tank and another tank put in?

How do I remove a natural gas end cap?

We have a natural gas line for our barbeque at the back of the house. I recently bought my first natural gas BBQ but I can’t get the end cap of the natural gas line. It looks like it has been painted over. Any tips or ideas on how to safely remove this? Here is a picture of what a typical end cap looks like – www.atcogas.com/Safety/images/uncapped3.jpg .
